Why do you panic?
Many people who suffer panic attacks will present themselves with a list of what are called life events, certain situations that have added to the overall anxiety and stress prior to their first panic attack.
These events are significant enough to add to your stress levels and some examples are:
1) Death of a close relative
2) Losing your job
3) A financial disaster
4) Being involved in some sort of major accident
Whether you realised it or not, this would have added to your overall feelings of anxiety and stress, and it would have started the ball rolling. All that was needed was something else to come along and increase your anxiety above your manageable threshold.
The result is a panic attack. You may not have even understood what it was you just experienced but if one thing is for sure, it’s not something you ever want to experience again.
Natural remedies for panic attacks
Many people tirelessly search the Internet for safe and effective panic attacks treatment. If you’re looking for natural remedies for panic attacks, then you can rest assured that there are powerful techniques you can learn to eliminate panic for good. If you can change or alter the way you perceive danger then you might find that it’s a lot easier to control panic attacks than you think.
In many cases, it is actually the fear of having a panic attack that is more of an issue than actually having an attack itself. It’s like a vicious circle, every time you worry about having a panic attack you add to your levels of anxiety, which in turn increases your chances of having another episode. If you reduce your anxiety through a careful diet and deep relaxation, then you can begin to claw back control.

Most people must give a presentation or work with a group of people they are unfamiliar with several times during their career. This often results in panic attacks that can create many symptoms including nausea and dizziness. When it is necessary to perform in unfamiliar situations, and overcoming anxiety attacks is important, there are a few steps that will you to address the condition effectively.
In some cases, when a person is well prepared for their presentation they find that they can’t remember what they are supposed to do when they meet the expectant eyes of their audience. Working through this issue is important for many people to advance in their careers and in life.
Anxiety and panic are very common for individuals who are called upon to give a presentation or meet with a group of people they do not know. This fear can immobilize an otherwise competent individual and results from a fear of the unknown. Spending time networking with your group before a meeting and doing some research will help to remove this fear.
One of the ways to greatly reduce the fear of speaking or presenting to a group of strangers is to “humanize” them, remove the unknown by talking to individuals who will be attending. Taking the time to find out something personal about some of the attendees will also help. In addition, when you speak to them personally, they will feel that you care about your topic and the audience you are presenting to.
One of the most common causes of anxiety before a presentation or group meeting is forgetting to breathe. Taking a few moments before entering the situation to breath slowly and focus on the positive outcome that will result from the presentation will greatly help to calm anxiety. An individual will often become anxious when they begin to think about all of the things that can go wrong during the presentation. However, focusing on the positive, while breathing deeply, will replace the anxious feelings with calm.
Enveloping yourself in a calming environment prior to the presentation will also help to avoid panic and anxiety. By taking some time to relax in a quiet room, that is dimly lit and allows you to do some relaxation exercises, you will be able to prepare your mind for the presentation. Wearing comfortable clothing for the presentation will also be helpful. A mistake that is often made is purchasing a new outfit prior to a presentation. However, wearing new or uncomfortable clothing can trigger an attack as well.
Prior to the engagement, exercising, eating healthy foods and getting enough rest will help your body to respond appropriately to feelings of discomfort. When people feel energized and refreshed, they are much more able to deal with anxiety and panic effectively and concentrate on the task at hand.
Another quick tip for reducing the levels of anxiety that may occur prior to a presentation is to take a short walk right before the event. By walking you will get fresh air, be able to focus and center, and work off some of the excess energy that may be triggering your stress. By following relaxation and breathing techniques, and personalizing your group, you will find that overcoming anxiety attacks is much easier.
Discover these self help tips for overcoming anxiety attacks that have helped literally thousands of people in overcoming anxiety and panic attacks and finally banish them from their lives for good.

Why do people become depressed and anxious? Why do they lack self esteem and confidence? The answer often lies in negativity. It begins with negative thinking and then people start to believe that they are stuck and that their situation is hopeless.
Accepting that we need help is in itself a major step towards relief. Most of us seek help from a doctor, rightly so. However, a prescription course of antidepressants is but a temporary remedy to your situation.
For the solution to your problems, you maybe surprised to know, lies not in your doctor’s prescription but in your way of thinking and overall mindset.
Trying to escape the blame for the things that go wrong in your life is a natural human reaction. While in truth, you are responsible for conducting your life, the choices and decisions you make are indeed yours and there is no one but yourself to blame. Realizing this is indeed the most difficult step that you have to take. For then as in any problem, once you know what’s wrong its easier find a solution to fix the source of that problem.
That doesn’t mean things will improve right away. You have to start here, but then it takes a lot of work to set things on the right track. It will take a while as you start to work on yourself.
Nothing happens overnight for this isn’t magic. You have to work on it day in and day out. Make a plan. Choose your routine that which is comfortable for you. But once chosen, it must be followed every day without deviations. Slowly but surely, you will start noticing changes in your attitude and in the way you see things. This change will then fuel your determination to succeed. You will start to see things that have been going well for you, but had been obscured by your earlier negativity.
Do keep in your mind that the improvement in your outlook will be gradual and directly proportional to the effort you put in and your commitment to it as well as your initial negativity.
As mentioned, this change will be your unstoppable fuel. With it, you will realize that you are as worthy as anybody of success and that you have been advancing steadily in your pursuit of it.

In our society we come across people who are an extrovert and few are introverts. Generally strata of people who are extrovert have no fear of being a part of social gathering or have no issues in addressing a larger group of people but on the other hand people who are introvert are shyer and avoid interacting to outsiders. They confine to certain group of people and do not feel comfortable meeting new person.
This approach of people to avoid social events and gatherings is often termed as Social anxiety. When their social anxiety worsens they do need a professional help for social anxiety treatment. Stammering, hating public meeting, shying, blushing and wanting to be alone are few symptoms of having a social anxiety.
The treatment of this social anxiety can be done by a Psychologist. A person will require a few counselling sessions done by the psychologist to come out of this anxiety. This treatment will also be free of any drugs and medications. Another way for social anxiety treatment used by psychologist and professional is getting the patient in a group of people who share among themselves their stories and experiences.
The group members are slowly replaced by outsider who are completely unknown to the patient and have their own set of social problems. An exchange session is organized where every person shares his story. As the patient progress the group size is improved by reducing the family member and including people from outside.
Initially the person is encouraged to speak up by making him as comfortable as possible and his progress is monitored by the flow of the speech with each session that is carried out. Finally with each passing session the person becomes more confident to face larger gathering and put up his view point in a more effective and smooth manner.
The other option that can be considered is a change in the lifestyle. The person suffering from social anxiety needs to have a control over his eating and drinking habits. Avoid drinking caffeine as it makes you feel more anxious and jittery. It is very important that the person is relaxed. Though drinking calms the nerves but it also hampers the person’s cognitive ability and it is less likely that he could smoothly deal with the situation and not have the anxiety attack.
Like drinking, smoking also hampers a person’s relaxed outlook towards life. Thus drinking and smoking should be avoided for a fast recovery. Getting adequate sleep is also a key factor required for overcoming social anxiety. One should get sufficient hours of sleep to feel fresh during the day while interacting with others and this will also suppress the outcome of any kind of anxiety.

Learning to stop anxiety and panic attacks isn’t difficult, but they can be very difficult to conquer on their own, without any guidance. Here is how I learned to stop these attacks forever.
If your chest feel heavy and it is difficult to breath, like there was not enough oxygen in the air, it is the initial symptoms for a panic attack. The two biggest side effects of panic attacks I found out a few weeks later are the perception of breathing difficulties, along with an elevated and even painful heart rate
* The first thing that will help you stop panic attacks is realizing that these attacks are nothing more and nothing less than your body reacting to stress in your life, which activates the biological fight-or-flight reaction. There is no physical cause, and these episodes do not harm your body or pose any danger to you.
* You might not even realize at first that you’re having a panic episode. You might think you’re having a heart attack, or your lungs aren’t working properly, or you are sick, but all of these feelings are physical manifestations of problems that are actually entirely internal. Tell yourself that you are fine, these attacks don’t kill anyone, and that this attack will pass, will help you get through your next episode.
* Next you should try to find out the cause. Ask yourself these questions. Did you have panic episodes like this a year ago? What about six months ago? What changed? If you can’t think of any significant, stressful differences in your life, think back a month at a time. Shortlist a list of possibilities. It could be a combination of all those small possibilities.
* Extremely recent concerns might not have caused your panic attacks. Instead they might be resulting from an elevation of problems or anxiety that had been building up over months or years and finally reached “critical mass”, or they might be symptoms of a slowly-growing mental affliction, like generalized anxiety disorder or depression.
* Finally if you want to cure your panic attacks yourself, the key for self treatment is to convince yourself that what you’re experiencing are panic attacks and not something seriously wrong with your body. It may take a few doctor’s examinations before you believe that. I personally required two visits to the doctor.
Can you imagine feeling relaxed and happy again? How about making your last panic attack your LAST panic attack? Here’s how to do it.

Most people know that panic attacks generally occur during the daytime hours. But panic attacks actual occur at night as well. There is hope through treatments geared toward panic attacks in the overnight hours. How can you have a panic attack at night?
People can wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning with panic attack symptoms. There is no specific reason why, but sufferers will often wake up in a panic. People wake up feeling dizzy, lightheaded or even having chest pains. Their heart may be racing and breathing becomes a problem. A person may feel like they need to escape from the setting or they may feel like they are losing control of themselves; perhaps even dying. This is perhaps one of the most terrifying experiences a panic attack sufferer can undergo.
What Causes Nighttime Panic Attacks
What do you do to stop nighttime panic attacks? The actual treatment is remarkably similar to methods for day time panic attacks. Unlike with daytime panic attacks people find it difficult to identify the trigger behind night time attacks. But nighttime attacks are often caused by normal stressful situations like funerals, accidents, and problems in a person’s daytime life. The thing to remember with any panic attack, day or night, is to stay calm in both mind and body.
Preventing Nighttime Panic Attacks - Three of the Best Treatments for Nighttime Attacks
Treatment 1 - Self Massages
Giving yourself a massage is actually a great treatment for night time panic attacks. It is also a good idea to have a massage first thing in the morning. When a person has a massage, their body becomes further relaxed, which allows them to handle stress that creeps up into their sleep whether it’s through dreams or their subconscious.
Treatment 2 - Techniques for Relaxation
Learning relaxation techniques that involve breathing deeply can also help people suffering from night time panic attacks. Breathing correctly involves using your diaphragm rather than one’s chest, and relaxation techniques teach you how to do this. Air is breathed in deeply and breathed out the same when breathing properly. By doing this correctly you focus more on your breathing then on your rising panic and it helps you calm down. The treatment, when done right and before you go to bed, helps you stay calm during the night.
Treatment 3 - Meditation and/or Prayer
The third way to treat panic attacks at night is to meditate before going to sleep. Why does this help? This makes you more relaxed and also puts you in a positive frame of mind before getting into the bed.

Panic attacks are acute episodes of overwhelming fear that occur suddenly, without any warning and without any specific event to trigger the attacks. If the attacks are not brought under control, they can lead to many other issues like depression or the person becoming reclusive and avoiding contact with other people. That is why it is important for people to know that they can get panic attacks help.
Although all healing is ultimately self-healing, it’s often a good idea to get outside help when we’re dealing with an issue with which we have no experience. Most people get better quicker with some instruction from someone with experience dealing with the problem, even if that guidance comes in the form of a book or home study course.
Under normal circumstances, a person will consult a doctor and a psychotherapist to help cure the problem of panic attacks. A doctor’s advice is necessary in order to exclude any undiagnosed physical condition like a heart ailment. Once underlying health problems are ruled out, the doctor will then begin the treatment for the panic attacks.
Invariably a doctor will prescribe medication to help the person. Although medication is not the solution to cure the problem completely, it can often help you deal with the symptoms of panic attack, especially during the start of the treatment.
A physician will often recommend medication as part of a treatment program. Drugs aren’t the complete answer and they do not remove the need for other treatments, but they frequently can help control the symptoms of panic attacks, especially in the beginning.
One of the most successful approaches in psychotherapy to cure panic attacks is cognitive behavioral therapy. The basic principle of this approach is that most emotional problems arise due to inaccurate perceptions. Once the perceptions of a person are changed, and he begins to see things differently, automatically emotional problems tend to disappear. This approach seems to be useful in curing panic attacks.
However, I am also very interested in a new method of treatment that has been very successful in helping people overcome anxiety problems completely either on their own or while working together with the doctor or psychotherapist.
You can find a review of this remarkable program at: Panic Away Review. This program has eliminated panic attacks for tens of thousands of people may be exactly what you’re looking for. You can also take a look at Panic Attacks Help for more ideas on how to eliminate panic and anxiety problems.
