The Happiness Of Living A Fulfilling Life
June 11, 2010 4:11 am healthy lifeLiving a full life is a bit of a subjective topic. Just because you have lived a long time does not automatically mean that you have lived a full life. You may even have managed to live a full life even though you are not that old.
There are lots of people that have lived for many years that have not actually fulfilled their expectations. Whereas some younger people have managed to cram absolutely everything they ever wanted to in such a short time.
The funny thing is that those in the latter group may not even have possessed the natural abilities or the worldly goods that many in the first group have acquired.
The ones that have managed to fulfill their dreams have probably just made more of the opportunities that have come their way. They have taken control of the situation and used it to their ends in such a way that they benefited more from it.
We all wake in the morning and sleep in the night. But some people are just more adept at grabbing their opportunities at the first time of asking and as such probably feel as though they have gained more in their lives than others.
If every one of us were to make lists of everything that we have in our lives at present, and everything that we lack we would find that the first list is a lot longer and full of more important things than anything that has been written on the second list.
We would inevitably start with loved ones and being able to wake up every morning to a brand new day. Learning and caring for those around us that mean so much to us. All the beauties in the world we live in. Each of these would be on the first list.
When you then compare this to the second list I think that you will find that there is not actually much that you can put down on the second list that is as important to you.
